The hurricane could bit a direct hit in some states. Of course they are saying it could make oil prices sky rocket. Looks like I will riding my bike to work.

I don't know where your information comes from, but one need go no further back than last year to see that hurricanes Charley and Ivan were both category 4 when they hit. If that weren't enough, back in 1992 hurricane Andrew was a category 5 storm when it hit Florida in August of 1992. It was still a cat 3 when it hit Louisiana two days later. [TL]

ReplyDeleteSo, yeah its very rare for a hurricane this size to hit the US this early in the summer or "hurricane" season.
