"Wing Bowl: The Game"

This is pretty cool. Check it out guys and let me know how many you eat.

Garry, KIT Your Friend Bob

Well season could be offically cancelled with in the hour. Check it out.

"NHLPA Wastes a Minute of Your Time"

The two hockey sides have gone from airing their dirty laundry through the meeting (instead of actually meeting for months), to being really secretive, and now they are just being silly. Of course we all know behind closed doors everything generally goes well until the words SALARY CAP are uttered. Then they called each other a bunch of jerks and storm out of the room like 5 year-olds.

Below is statement released to the public. I think it might be to the point that the columnists don't even care anymore. Yes, and its February and they are still talking about "trying to save" the season.

NEW YORK (February 3, 2005): At the conclusion of today's meeting in New York, National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) Senior Director Ted Saskin released the following statement:
"The meeting with the league has ended for this evening. The parties plan to meet again tomorrow."

*****************UPDATE*************************

TSN reports that Gary and Bob were there for the fun. They almost burned the midnight oil too. Some think it was a good sign that their meeting ran over. Who really knows maybe it just we drug out because of all the 5 minute majors.

"Hockey Town Jerks"

Ah.....You have to love this story.

If you are going to stand up for something you "belive" in at least have the balls to actually give up something for it. Since none of these guys children ever have to work a day in their life let alone them, why not weather out the storm?

Now you could argue that its there "love of the game" shinning through. I think thats a load of crap, because if that was true they would have gone to Trevor Linden and Bob Goodenow and said; "Aw Shucks we will play for 4.5 million instead of the 4.8 million a year we love the game so much.

The NHLPA is supposed to help its members I guess. However, in the process its screwed countless alumni who base their businesses off the game of hockey who are now lossing thier shirts. Not to mention players in these leagues who never did anything to anyone.

I hope they get their asses booed. At this point I hope the talks go bad today. Screw the NHL and even more the NHLPA. I hope all their members are really dumb with their piles of millons like MC Hammer was and end up digging ditches for 10 bucks an hour untill the machines come to life and wipe out humanity.

Trevor Linden said he would rather see the NHL die then ever accept a salary cap. You know what at this point I hope you get your wish you has been jerk-off.

"Tuckers World On DEMAND"

What you would you like to see?

1.

Was there any serious interest in my doing a DR. Who like review of the Transformers cartoon series from the 80s? It was suggested to me again this weekend, but I don't know how much interest there would actually be. Not to mention I am a little uncomfortable with being sent to an even higher level of nerdness. PLus I need to get copies of the shows.

2. Movie trivia games. I have failed to get any off the ground on this blog in the past, but the casting the crew blog was a big hit. So, maybe there is some interest there.

3. MOvie Franchise History: Here my expert take on the Jaws, Superman, Starwars, Lethal Weapon and more movie series. Learn more about them than you ever wanted to and have me point out what went wrong with some of these sequels.

4. Bad joke Wednesday. Every weds, I post really bad joke on here.

What if any of these idea do you want to see on Tucker's World?

"The New Deal"

Here it is. Still trying to save that season!

"Wal-Mart Block"

Well my sources were wrong before the Wal-mart at Echelon isn't done deal. In fact some people in Voorhees hope it never comes true. There are still some legal pitfals to leap over apperently. THe people of Voorhees are afraid that it will bring in too much traffic. They fear "there will be too many trucks" if Wal-mart is build there. One wonders how many more there would be then when there were 4 anchor stores and the mall was totally filled. But these are the same people that gripe that the stores are all leaving the mall.

OKay, I can understand that people would upset and lets say Deptford where there simply isn't any room to place a Wal-Mart. However, this mall won't make it with out thinking outside the box, which would sky rocket the propert taxes in the town. The Echelon Mall is roughly 20 percent of the tax money of the town, and its exit would really hurt the town.

The idea the PREIT has at this point is to tear down the empty J C Penny's building, and put the Wal-Mart there. They would have a new enterance to the mall near where Suncoast is and possibly insert a reteruant of some sort there. In addition the existing remaning part of the mall would be overhauled and updated.

On top of people that fear "the trucks" being pissed off the grocery unions are getting in the mix. The planned Wal-mart could be (seriously) just as big as the actual mall. So, based on that fact you would imagine that it could be a Super Wal-Mart. This would include a grocery section. Which would have non-union worker, and potentially put union workers out of work if say it knocks out the Acme in the same town. So, sometime this week (don't know when or where) there were supposed to be more meeting about it.

Now most people think that when Wal-mart comes to town it results in everyone losing their jobs and having to work for Wal-mart. That every store in 10 miles will be boarded up. Well, I am starting to think that it only happens in really small towns like in Mystery, Alaska. I mean there has been a Wal-Mart near Liza for years, and the entire shopping center is alive and feeding off the Wal-Mart. The Target and Kohls down the road are still alive. Also the area doesn't look like a bomb dropped or anything.

Now Wal-mart IS being stupid in South Jersey because if they get their way they will have dozens all over the place. One wonders if they would only be competing with themselves. However, cases like this I th ink the area will only benefit. It can't get worse. Empty IHOP, Empty Hair SALON, almost entirely empty mall.

Rick and I estimated recently that a third of the stores are empty in the entire Mall. Counting the small ones there is 57. Oh yeah, and that doesn't count The Wet Seal, Contempto, or Cinnabun that are all offically gone as of earlier this week.

Its your fault Bush voters.

"More winter"

The Groundhog has spoken. Happy Groundhog Day Everyone! Hope you have a safe and joyus day!

"Best Movies of 2004....I Never Saw."

Sideways: Lowell from Wings and that guy from that American Splendor Movie that I never felt like seeing go around and drink wine. Oh, yeah one of them is getting married and a bunch of whacky stuff happens when they hit the road. Its all artsy and stuff and the wine is symbolic of um something.

Ray: Ah man Jamie Foxx sure looks like, sings like and acts like Ray Charles. I was really almost brought to tears late in the film when he sang "AMERICA's GAME THE ONE AND ONLY LOTTERY!". Also the scene when he sang about Diet Pepsi was great. You got the right stuff baby!

Million Dollar Baby: Hillary Swank acts all tough, father figure Clint Eastwood creeply looms over her. Oh yeah, the is sad since he is old now and wants to pass his knowledge on to her. Oh, but its not cool to train a woman! Uh-oh looks like these two are going to have to overcome the odds.

House of Flying Daggers: Amazingly they cut a tin can as easily as a tomato.

"Monster Storm Fell Through"

Well, I didn't update much this week. So I wasn't really able to bring up the fact that the Son of the Monster Storm wasn't going to happen. Despite the fact we did get some snow. Liza said she got like 5 inches or so. I shoveled a bit today and it was maybe 2 at best. However it's somewhat thought that the biggest storm of the winter might be in two weeks. I will keep you posted. This week its actually going to be fairly mild and dry so. No son of monster storm this week.
