"dropping like fly balls"

What the hell,???!?!? Can we just play one game with out someone getting hurt? Is the evil ghost of William Penn using some sort of voodoo pin cushion thing?

It was like the Phillies put a spare tire on their car, then ran over a spike chain two seconds later. Unreal. Then again, it shows how little Michael Bourn was thinking about his surroundings. Had he paid closer attention to the bull pen before that play, he would likely not have gotten hurt. Still would have missed the ball, but would have stayed healthy--and right now, that's even more important to the team. With Pedro coming back to the Mets soon, the Phillies need all the healthy players they can get!

But who knows? When Abreu was traded a year ago, people wrote off the Phillies. Then they got hot for the rest of the season. Maybe with all these injuries shaking up the lineup, the team will respond like they did last year.

One thing is for sure: Manuel needs to keep Chris Coste. He's not just a feel-good story; he's a huge asset to the team. Stop dicking him around between the majors and minors. Give him a permanent spot, even if it's on the bench. He'll come through. [TL]

Maybe William Penn is really pissed because there is a 3 foot tall statue of him on top of the Comcast Tower.

Amen, brother! Brotha? Whatever. Coste deserves better. [TL]
