So who is at the top of the rotation: Myers or Moyer? I can't remember. Whatever the rotation is, I'm still gonna bite my nails whenever Eaton pitches. [TL]

I think Eaton is out, but I cant think of the whole rotation....I am thinking Myers would be there..

Rotation in order: Hammels, Myers, Moyer, Kendrick and Eaton. The Phils hope that Benson can come back soon from his surgery to be an emergency starter or when Eaton starts sucking again

I really hope Eaton can rebound. I can tell he is pissed about the way he played. Maybe, he can be so-so this season, instead of sucky.

Jay, do you think this is a better team than 2007?

I think the team is marginally better than last years. This team hinges on a lot of "ifs" though (like most teams do). I think that the Geoff Jenkins/ Jayson Werth platoon is good. I have always been a big fan of Jenkins, I think that he is going to do well and be the main rightfielder. Rowand was nice last year but obviously playing for a contract, don't expect huge numbers out of him, he will not be missed. Burrell needs to play like July-September Pat not April-June Pat. So Tagutchi is going to be Burrell's late inning replacement, and he will be fine.

Pedro Feliz is an improvement over the debacle that was third base last year which isn't saying much. The Phils still need a stud third baseman, it is a black eye on one of the best infields in baseball. Howard needs to strike out less if he really wants to get that huge contract that he is demanding. He has showed up to spring training in really good shape, funny how that always happens in cintract years. Chase and Jimmy just need to be Chase and Jimmy. Catching is ok but not good, getting rid of Barajas was great.

Lidge is an improvement at closer and I like Myers better as a starter. The end of the rotation has holes but if Kendrick can improve on last year, Moyer does not die and Eaton does not completely suck the joint out again they should be fine. I really like the Benson move though (and I am not just talking about his wife). They got him really cheap and if he can come back and pitch like he can he is going to be a HUGE addition. He is a solid #3 starter.

The Mets got better 1 day a week with Santana but that is it, all they got was another year older. Pedro is D-O-N-E. Their rotation has more holes than the Phils and they have a old lineup (with the exception of Wright and Reyes). I think the Braves are a bigger threat, they have a good, young underrated lineup and they brought 12 solid starters to training camp, they are back.
