"Tucker and Barber"

So, yours truely was chowing down at the Don Pablos in Deptford (yes the ban has been lifted) with my wonderful girlfriend.

Behind me the whole time (or at least most of the time) was NHL hall of famer Bill Barber with I assume his grandson. I didn't notice him untill the kid walked past our booth, and Barber was trying to help him get his coat on. I guess it was his daughter he was with.

Now I wouldn't say that I am star struck or whatever, but the few times I meet someone famous I rarely say anything. Mainly, because I don't know what to say. He was standing like right next to me.

I guess I should of asked him how it felt to be FIRST to be first. Maybe I could have asked if Clarkie sent him a Christmas card yet. I certainly could have asked him what he thought about the lock out. Since most former players like him would give anything to lace them up one more time for an NHL game I doubt he would really feel bad for the millionaire players of todays age.

I was at the Tropicania this weekend and supposedly Snoop Dog was there wondering around some place. Anyone, who hasn't been to this casino in awhile should really go. They totally overhauled the entire place they have some cool shops and places to eat. Of course it helps if you win money if you want to actually eat or drink at this place.

Ah...have a good Monday one and all. Hmm..anyone else ever meet anyone cool? Or sit next to anyone cool?

I saw Keith Jones at Trump Marina and I watched him play craps for awhile. And one of the guys from Boys to Men came through the drive-thru at Wendy's when I worked there and I talked to him about his new Lincoln Navigator. I had no clue who he was until one of my co-workers told him he liked his new album. He then had to tell me who he was. I was clueless, but it was probably better that way.

I also went to the Flyers wives carnival with Jay and Hunter last year and we got to meet a few of the Flyers and Flyers Alumni. That was pretty cool.

I met Black Sabath while working security at Ozfest. Hines Ward and Tony Iomi are cool. I actually had a meaningful conversation with the drummer. He was feeling a bit down at the time and confided in me a little about how he has everything he ever wanted and still could not be happy. Tragic.

I met Dean Ween from ween at one of the H-box shows. He was taking pictures of us and jumping around. I didn't talk to him, though. I was too busy with the show.

I met Randel Cunningham at a movie theatre and resisted throwing something at him while he walked away. He's a nice guy, but I hated him as QB for the Eagles.

I met singer from Slayer. I can't remember his name. There was a truck bearing down on him as he walked up the street. I warned him about the truck, maybe even saved his life. He moved and said thanks.

I met G-Love, Ben Folds, Ed Randel (shook his hand), and Alicia Keys, but only in passing.

Royce.

I may have been there for Randall. We were seeing Mortal Combat and he sat in the last row with his girl (or wife).

I also met former weatherman Frank Carallo (he was on FOX PHILLY) and shoke his hand. I also met Gary Cobb, and a few other old Flyers when I was a kid when they had signings.

Duke and I almost met Sami Kappanen but he was charging 20 bucks for his autograph. It was right after the Flyers got bounced, it was clear he didnt even want to come back, and that there was going to be no NHL hockey next season. However, he still thought it would be fair to charge 20 bucks. There was no charity involved either. So we bailed.

I met Garry Cobb, Randall Cunningham and Jerome Brown at siginings when I was a kid. I was also standing in line to get into the Ed Sullivan Theater to see David Letterman and Adam Duritz and some other guy from the Counting Crowes walked past me. I was going to see them the next day and I was going to say something but I couldn't think of anything in time and I am a pussy.
