So, my office gets flu shots for free.
I always refuse.
First off, the shot is just a guess what Flu Virsus will be all the rage this winter.
Second, it doesn't prevent you from getting a stomach virus. That is what I am always prone to.
Third, last year when people got the shot they got sick anyway. The Flu wiped out all but 6 or 7 of the over 20 people in my office. Kind of like that episode of Head of the Class when they all get sick. IT was nuts only 6 of us running the office, and most of us DID NOT get the shot.
This year we did it about a month ago. It made people sick for a few days. YOu know why? BECAUSE THEY GIVE YOU THE FLU! Thats what the shot is.
Your opitions are
A: Roll the dice and not get the flu hopefully
B: Get kind of sick or pretty sick when you ask the doctor to GIVE YOU THE FLU, than have an almost exact amount of risk of getting sick as anyone else.
Dont trust those jerks just casuse the have a doctors lab coat on ! They are GIVING YOU THE FLU!
Just run!

Really? Really? Do you really believe that they give you the flu? Really? I have gotten it and didn't get the flu. The same with Jay and Hunter. Hunter is also required to get it for school due to a state mandate. I am not sure that the state would require you to get sick. Maybe you just work with a bunch of people that are about to kick the bucket or live a not-so-healthy lifestyle making them more prone to catching it.

The flu shot is, just that the flu.
Even if it doesnt make you sick (it makes many people feel run down for a few days while I felt fine) like I said its an utter crap shoot.
THey don't know what Flu Virus will be the most common one anyway. I work in an office where we all sit on top of each other so yes things get spread quickly. But, the Flu shots are utterly useless.
Schools also made kids put their little hands over their heads and jump under the desk in order to protect themselves from falling bombs.
Thankfully, we were never bombed, but I doubt the kids had a chance if we did.
But yes, the FLu shot, is actually the FLU virsus in hopes you build up an immune system incase you actually get it.
I dont think anyone under 70, over over the age of 5 should waste their time with Flu shots.

Ok, so I did a little research and the doctors (aka experts) say that you cannot get the flu from the flu shot. According to the above poorly linked articel, the only way to get sick from the flu is if you are already sick when get the flu shot or are allergic to eggs. It is actually a dead form of the influenza virus that they give you.
The article also states that you may experience cold-like symptons after getting it, but that is true of just about any vaccine that is out there.
According to the article, about 10-20% of those who get the flu shot do get the flu. But it would have been a much worse case if they hadn't done so. Sort of like the chicken pox vaccine.
The doctors to research that indicates which strains are most likely to occur that year and that is how they decide which strain to use as for the vaccination. It is an educated guess.
I just want you to be healthy Keith...you should have gotten it. Now you may die.
Flu Shots are the result of a criminal conspiracy. I know! Pharm companies like JJ, Merck, and Johnson Matthey are all in cahoots(sp?) to make money. You get sick from the shot and then you have to pay money for drugs to make you well again. Barrack found out and wanted a cut of the money. So they gave HIM the FLU. Now he has to play along or they won't give him any medicine. Can you imagine having the flu for eight years? Bummer.
Don't worry. Keith's not gonna die.... not by the flu at least. But the big pharmaceutical have now taken notice of him. Evil executative rubbing his hands eviley, "So, Keith doesn't want to pay us money, huh?" He's on a list now. I don't know what kind of list but it's probaly not a good one.
