"3 More Reasons Kerry Will Win"

Okay most these polls are all over the map. So, lets look at this logically. Okay, lets at least talk about these 3 things standing in the way of Bush's relection.

1. Did you know that 7 percent of all Americans have a cell phone, but not a land phone? Well its true, at least that what I read recently. Now I am guessing these are mainly 30 and under people. Who are likely to vote for Kerry. The kicker is that very few if not none at all were included in any of the polls. That alone could shift the results.

2. You would think people would rally around a wartime president more, right? Well clearly not in this election. Look what happened to his father back in '92. A hell of a lot more people supported that Iraq war than this one. Still Bush the father lost. So, how you could his son win if his father lost even though he pretty much won that war?

3. I really don't see Bush taking the Keystone state at all. He has a lot of people pulling for him in the state. Also, I think he could lose Florida too. Although, unless it is a wide margin it could get sticky again. Well the last election there was so neck and neck. However, I would imagine he lost more votes than won votes in four year. Plus you have the people who voted for him and are miffed at him. Lets all them the Jenna voters. Nothing personal Jenna, I just want to create a cool buzz word for the election. So, the Jenna voters will swing this state in Kerry's favor.

Do you guys actually see any holes in my theories?

Barely over 5 days left to go..well to the election anyway. Actually know who our next president in...well that could come sometime around the next time we see an NHL game.

"Russians,Russians!"

5 Days Left

The missing weapons story seems to have more and more twists to it. Like a Stephen King book the story keeps getting more complex. Now it appears that the Russians are involved here. Check here for details. Now I took some heat for my last post. Can I ask the question now..does THIS change anything?

I recall two things leading up to the war in Iraq. Ed telling me that France and Russia didn't realyl "care" too much about the war in Iraq. He claimed that the two countries would benefit from keeping Saddam in power. I am not going to get into that whole thing(unless I can better research it and actually have time) and sadly Ed is still out in desert training. I talked to him the other day and he has no e-mail access at all! What stinker no Ed for blog writing up to the election! For those of you that care he will be home to cast his vote on Nov,2.

Anyway, the 2nd thing I recall was someone I am close friends with here (we all know his name, but I am paranoid about typing it) was in Iraq in early 2003 when the war started. He had told me one time when I asked him about the WMDs that it was common knowledge among people he talked to that "Stuff" was moved to Syria. Not to say that is where the WMDs went, but that isn't impossible. However, this story seems to gel with the stories I heard from my friend and a few others that were over there about weapons being moved to Syria. Remember everyone kept saying we were going to invade Syria over a year ago? When I have time I will see if Drew, or I blogged about it.

Is this Bush's October suprise that we have been hearing so much about?

5 Days to the general election, but does it really matter the Red Sox has won the world Series the world is likely to end sometime tomorrow.

This weekend Tucker's World will announce it's official edorsement.

"Michael Moore Is Dead!"

About a year ago (don't ask me why please) I had this vivid dream that Star Trek stary Leonard Nimoy died after a long battle with cancer. I was news footage of him and even some of his co-stars talking about his death and his brave battle with cancer.

So, I was shocked, because apparently Dr. Spock had cancer for almost a year and finally lost his fight. I was so confused when I woke up that I could not figure out if he was dead or not. I picked up the papers really quick before work and couldn't find anything. So, I was thinking maybe I heard the story right before bed.

I was embarrassed to ask anyone at work. So, I snuck a text message to Lima Beanz asking if he had died or if it was dream. Thankfully, Beanz send me back a text that he was fine. I wonder if he questioned how strange a question that way.

Anyway the other night..the dream was. I wake up to hear my parents of cable news on as usual. Only to hear Michael Moore was found dead at his home! I was shocked! I picked up the paper (although I can never EVER read in my dreams which pisses me off) and his picture was in the type right corner. Hmm...

It seemed real. He had a heart attack, and I was shocked even with his weight problem. Bill Mahr was on tv crying...and I thought it was a real shame that he died before the election got here.

You might all think that I am so right that I would want him dead which is not true. In fact in my dream I wrote for my blog. Proving that I have a heart and that I am a total loser to dream about Tucker's World.

I basically wrote his death notice. I traced his rise from cult status, to big name after Bowling.. and how his last film made him officially made him a legend like it or not. I was saying he would be remembered in film history as one of the biggest name filmmakers of the modern era, and we were robbed not by not seeing his follow up. Okay, I don't agree with him all the time, but still as a film buff I like to see where people go in their careers and certainly don't want him to die.

I guess I should have figured it was s dream when the report was released that he like food so much he had a feed bag surgically attached to him so he could be constantly having food bumped into this back.

So, basically if Dr. Spock dies of cancer and Mr Moore dies of a heart attack..I am going to be really freaked out.

Anyone interested in my posting more of my dreams on here? Can anyone figure out why I would dream about the death of two famous people I deep down don't really care about ?

"That's Our New York Times!"

Well yesterday the news story that exploded all over (pun intended) the news and airwaves was the story was out there for awhile, but the NYC times really blew it up. Here is the Jist:

"The Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives - used to demolish buildings, make missile warheads and detonate nuclear weapons - are missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.

The huge facility, called Al Qaqaa, was supposed to be under American military control but is now a no man's land, still picked over by looters as recently as Sunday. United Nations weapons inspectors had monitored the explosives for many years, but White House and Pentagon officials acknowledge that the explosives vanished sometime after the American-led invasion last year."
Anyway, come to find out on NBC news last night that their embeded reporters were with US troops when they got to the building. They said the weapons were gone already. Now you would think that the NYC times would. I don't follow up on the story. Shed light on the new facts brought to the table. Sadly, they didn't and suprisingly almost every other paper I picked up totally ignored the paper. Air America's Al Franklin acted as if the story didn't exist. He was still just slamming them for not protecting the weapons.

Before, you start saying, hey man stop watching Fox News, and listening to Rush. Let me make a pre-emptive strike on those shots that could be thrown at me. First off I listen to Air America between 12-3 if I can. Unless I am listening to 610 that is. Secondly, I wanted to write this last night when the story broke, and predict how the media would burry it. But, I thought I was over-reacting. So, I slept on it.

So, yeah it would seem the weapons were gone already when the troops got there. I expecte Drew on TERMINUS. To say listen we were excited about this..but its turning out to not be a slam dunk for Kerry. However, he goes on an slams Bush anyway. Doesn't mention anything about NBC in the entire report.
Okay, so the timeline might be made up. But why not ask. Why if this is such an important story was CBS planning to sit on it till the day before the election? Could it be that there would be no time to spin or even get the truth out there? Ask Micheal Moore likes to say.."What was going on here?".

I don't know. However would it have killed the NYC times or other medias to mention. Hey NBC said something makes the story that we drilled into your brains for a long time..well a completely different story. I figured papers and media outlets would draw lines in the sand for this election, however I didn't think that objective journalism would dislove like sugar in un-sweatened tea.

Drew ponders what happened. I don't claim to have all the answers, but if Iraqis could loot and take it there with "not enough" soliders around to stop them. I am sure they would have no problems with no one around moving it getting ready for that war an all.

Also, please when will the general public just admit that the NYC times is just the Fox News of the left?

"White House Wanted: Dead or Alive"

Ah 7 days..well 6 if you are reading this in a few hours left. The general election. Yep. It's amost here. Does it seem to anyone else that we just forgot about Halloween this year?

Well not to alarm anyone or anything, but there is a really good chance the dead will be rising from the grave on Nov 2. There is a lot of talk now about people stealing the election. Republicans are being accused trying to dupe voters out of voting and suppressing democratic votes. It has been proven in the past that democrats don't ask me how, have gotten dead people to vote for their man. In fact many people think it the dead of Chicago helped get JFK get state that he needed. Although, he may have won it anyway. But ask anyone from the windy city and they will tell you how dead people cast votes constantly.

"Republicans have frequently-amost chronically-engaged in what I think can be fairly be called voter-intimididation tactics in order to hold down the Democratic vote. On the other hand, the Democrats have been chornic cheats in being able to vote the cemeteries." ---Micheal Young
Political Historian. (from yesterdays Inquirer

I would say 80% of my readers are voting for John Kerry next week. Do you think they won't try that again? Does this not bother you? I mean the only reason that they would do such a thing is to try to win the election...maybe one could say steal since the dead can't vote. The means are different, but the end is the same.

IF that isn't bad enough. In Philly its an annual tradition to drive around and pick up homeless people. They pay them $20 to vote. Pretty shameless to use this people as pawns. Plus, isn't that techinically illegal? Thought we were supposed to cherish the homelss not exploit them.

One of my sources for this story is someone who had told my father he actually did it. His job to get some democrat elected was to walk around with a shoe box of $20s and not return till he gave them all out. Of course I am not going to publish his name on here, but most my readers hang out with me so I can just tell them than.

So, be on the look out for things that go bump in the night. Or the walking dead chanting.....HOPE IS ON THE WAY!! HOPE IS ON THE WAY!!

6 Days till....we find out if we should all buy more stock in Hailburton or Heinz Catsup.

"Image 2004"

Well they say image is everything, right? Well I guess you should keep that in mine Nov,2 right? I guess so. Here is my take on the image.

President Bush (Mr. Bush for you ABC news fans):

Well I must admit that he very often resembles some sort of a chimp. Not really one that would tear you a part just like the scared little guy that sits in the corner of the cage by himself at the zoo.

I think I get more nervous when he makes a speech than I ever did at college when I had to do presentations. Sometimes he gets that deer in the headlights look as his brain is sifts through files in order to get the right answer. The problem with him is I do beileve that he has dislyekia pretty bad which is why is a much better campaigner than a public speaker. This often makes him look dumber than he is. Regardless it doesn't instill much confidence when he licks his lips and rolls his eyes around before answering a question.

Sometimes his skin comes across as really sandy, and I guess he spends too much time in the sun or something.

Dick Cheney: A public relations nightmare. He always just looks so mean and angry. Making him come across as nice guy is like trying to make a box of rusty nails look cuter than a box of kittens.

John Kerry: One minute he looks like the lost California rasin, then the next minute he looks like he is 40. Thats the joy of botox. This guy always reminds me of the guy who is the last line of defense at a car dealership.

"Let's talk about that that extended warrenty!" ::whips out pen:::
Other times he looks like Frankenstien, or that guy who checks out his daughter's hot 15 yearold friend in those Lifetime movies.

When he was in that space suit he looked like a mutant tell-tubby. The times he goes hunting trying to appeal moderates or on the fence voters I think he looks like that bad father who takes his son to the ballgame to make up for being a bad dad.

John Edwards: When he is not standing around looking like John Ritter or standing on a stage giving tumbs up he is fixing his hair and flashing that smile. He is like the guy in High school who could go to the party late and still get laid without lifting a finger.

7 days left.

Will all the cripples get up and do the funky chicken when Edwards delivers on his promise to cure them all?

or will Bush stick it to his critics?

It's almost here then we can stop blogging about it and fight over flu shots instead.

"8 Days Out"

I was talking to two friends tonight about the pending election. There is Dan who thinks voting is a waste of time. Then there is Harry who I widely consider to be a lot smarter than me, who admitted that will vote, but has no idea who he will vote for. So, there you have it, anyone that knows him that is a reader of my blog knows he is not a dumb person by any means.

I certainly have a pretty cynical view on politics. In fact one of my readers told me that they didn't have a clue where I stood since it seemed like I hated them both.

Now I have two questions for everyone.

1. Do you thinking people like Dan not voting is Un-American? Or do you think if he really doesn't trust either guy that he is wise to stay home next week. When I asked who he would rather see win he told me Bush. However, I am not sure I have a problem with him staying home. A guy I work with said he HATES Kerry.. HATES him..but is voting for him.

2. My 2nd question is...do you really think it makes a person dumb to not blindly trust either side? Is is strange my friend Harry hasn't made up his mind?

Well...I would like to endorse a candidate tonight.......I bet you have all been waiting for this..well I am voting for Nader.

FOOLED YOU!

8 DAYS BABY!

"25 MPH!"

So, recently I was driving home from work and I was really tired. I have to work one late night to 9 which is good because I get to sleep in. However, it sucks cause I work at 8 am the next day.

Anyway I am driving home through Haddonfield on Warwick road and got pulled over. I was going 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. Now if you live in this area you no almost no one actually goes 25 mph here. I don't really feel I was going quite 15mph over the speed limit either, but once you hit 15 over it puts you in a higher fine bracket and the risk of more points.

So now in a week I am going to plead not gulity because I want to appeal that I wasn't going over 15 mph. This could knock the points down from 4 to 2. Now some people may have done this in the past and pleaded to some bizarre voliation that had nothing to do with why you can pulled over and pay a higher fine avoiding points.

So now I make sure that I am going 25mph all the time. Okay, actually go 25 mph sometime on a heavily traveled road. You might find a long line of angry motorists behind you. Driving up your butt and cursing you out. So, my opitions are to be a vicitim of a speed trap again, or be a viticim of road rage.

In the event that you are listening to traffic updates on the radio and hear there is a back up in the Cherry Hill/Barrington/Haddonfield and they don't know why. Just laugh to yourself and say...ah that Tucker.

It is very hard to do 25 mph on these roads since I feel like I am not getting anywhere. The same traffic light is in my field of vision for seemingly 40 minutes, and thats with no cars on the road.

On the bright side now I can try to use my commute to do other stuff. Yeah, I can like make a sandwitch and stuff. Gaze out at Bush and Kerry signs. Heck I bet I could jump out of my car and switch signs for neighbors who are pulling for different candidates, and jump back into my car with out breaking a sweat. 25 mph is that slow.

I am told that these rador things have a margin of error in it, so I hopefully they will give me a break.

"Flyers 7, Rangers 0"

Wow. The Rangers were routed tonight by the Flyers. 7-0! I knew the Rangers sucked but I didn think they were this bad. After the game the reporters was asking Lindros what happened. He was really confused and told them he was never even resigned by the Rangers, and he had no idea how he got there.

"Going to Get Dirty!"

Uh,oh-Uh,0h

The election is going to get dirty!

Well looks like the gloves are off and everyone is fair game. I am waiting for Bush's dog to get dragged into the mess. The more than likely to be the future first lady decided to jib-jab the first lady for being a homemaker.

"Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good," Heinz Kerry said. "But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things."

Well it turns out that she was a teacher for roughly a decade. What gives here? First off whats with dragging her into this mess? Why do this people just spew out stuff they don't know about or know isn't true? Like Dick Cheney saying he never met John Edwards despite the fact that they rubbed elbows together a few times at some events.

She said she was sorry, about it. However, what a dumb move I am told by my liberal friends that Kerry needs to sway undecided women voters and looks like the Kerry campaign is fumbling that chance. After Kerry's cliche reponse to the wife question in the last debate following Bush's heartfelt speach was a really blown chance. Now, lets say she was just a homemaker, first off she clearly didn't need to work, 2nd what an insult to American women who stay home with their children.

Add in Kerry slamming Cheney for getting flu shot in addition to blaming Bush for the flu shot problems. Of course the VP is old and has heart problems, but whatever.

Meanwhile Republicans are being accused of stealing the election. Apperently, people in Nevada were tampering with voter registration forms. Other organizations including the temp agency Kelly Services have been hired to only give out forms to people that had said they were voting for Bush.

Both candiates have used people who had loved ones who died in 9/11 for their ads.

Cheney says nuclear bombs might fall in our cities.

Edwards said that people in wheelchairs will be able to walk again just by voting for him. Well I know people have given promisies before, and if he kept this some what grounded like...we will work towards pushing stem cell research or something like that it wouldn't have been bold. However, to tell us that EVERYONE will walk again. Just makes me stomach turn. Yeah vote for me and you can do the funky chicken! Everyone will be healed.

Well I am starting to think that this election will actually last for several weeks after Nov,2. I guess its just as well since there is no hockey to watch anymore. Good lord, you think tensions are high now? HOwever, it matters very little since we will all die from the flu in mere months. Those who actually live will be drafted for the war in Iran or blown up by the nuclear bombs falling on our cities.

12 days left till the election of the new prez, or all the court battles and hanging chads.

"Two Weeks"

Two weeks left in the campaign. All the Hype, Spin, Lies, Debates, and stupid ass photo ops will be done in two weeks. The climax, the final bow, the end game, the end of the race.

Driving to work, like weeds the campaign signs are popping up like weeds. Its amazing. I have actually seen a lot more Bush signs in the South Jersey area than I thought I would. Not to say I haven't seen enough Kerry signs to sink a ship. HOwever, if anything its dead even in the amount of signs I have seen. The state could lean right for the first time since 1988.

Now I have a blog, which in this election is a powerful tool. The people have louded voices than ever before. HOwever, it helps if you have readership in the double digits. I have no traffic metter, but I imagine the only time my readership is up is when Drew gives my a shout out on TERMINUS, although rarely do his friends actually comment on my page. Either they think Drew is doing fine debating me or they only wish death upon me and hold back since Drew and I are friends.

Well I think I have to step up my politics posts up for awhile on here. Sorry John. This is history in the making here.

Anyway, where did the time go? The time to vote is almost here.

So it times to decide.

Bush's people say if I or we vote for Kerry we will be slammed by terrorists yet again. Although we were slammed once under their watch.

Kerry's people say if I vote for Bush we will all be drafted to be murdered in Iran, Iraq, or some other middle east country for Oil. Yet the only people drafting anything towards a draft are two democrats. How is Kerry going to make it different if he gets in there if its as bad as he says?

Wrong War, at the Wrong Time! Where do I sign up? I am sure people will just be enlisting like mad for that one. So, he says we don't have enough people in Iraq, so where will he get the people from? The only other excuse that I can figure for a draft is if something really bad happens like we are attacked or someone is hit hard in the mideast that is on our side. But, Kerry has no control over that really.

Kerry said he wants to go back to the time when terrorism was just a nuisance (rant on that pending). I would love that too, sadly though I can't just hope in my Delorean and head back to 2001.

So okay say you take Kerry's words as truth. I mean they keep saying it on MTV and even P Diddy thinks so, so it must be the truth. Seriously, say you take that as truth, and Bush as the truth.

Say they are both being honest.

Then we get to decide where we want to die this Nov. 2 Do we want to be blown to bits at home or go over seas to be blown to bits. Don't forget every vote counts and we can decide where and how we want to meet the reaper.

Just lovely.

"Movie Nerd News"

Okay, since most of my readers are movie people. I am going to try to have a movie post on here on a semi-weeklish basis about movies that are coming soon.

Micheal Moore has been in the Delware Valley shooting footage for his next film Sicko (though the title may change before it is released), which is about the state of healthcare in the US. It wouldn't be unlikely if he shows up in some south jersey towns because of all the healthcare buildings around. Supposedly, he is targeting parmasitical sales reps in the currently being filmed segments.

I hope you like remakes because Hollywood has a ton of them on the way. Cedric the Entertainer will be star in the remake of the Dangerfeild classic Back to School. Adam Sandler and Chris Rock are going to be in a remake of the Longest Yard, about a football movie between prisioners and prision guards. Bert Reynolds will be in this remake playing a rather large part, he was in the original too, oddly enough. I can't think of many times that his has happened aside from cameos. The Vincent Price horror classic House of Wax is being remade with Parris Hilton. Hmm..what else there is a remake of the James Stewart movie (havent seen this one yet) the Flight of the Phoenix.

Kevin Smith said while pushing Jersey Girl, that the days of silent of Jay and Silent Bob were gone. That he would do more adult themed movies. I guess he is a flip-flopper, because there is a sequel to Clerks, called The Passion of the Clerks currently in pre-production. Smith is still trying to make a Fletch movie. The same Fletch that starred Chevy Chase in the 80's. He was supposed to do this in mid-90s, but it kept being pushed off. God knows if Chevy will even be in it or if he will be replaced by Jason Biggs or something.

Speaking of movies taking a long time to be made. There is a live action/cartoon mix movie that has been in production so long that John Candy and Madeline Kahn as voices. Of course, they both passed away quite awhile ago. Candy over a decade ago. This movie apperently has been moved around from different companys and has been shelved a number of times. Look for a 2005 release for this movie, and it might just end up as a TV movie after all that trouble.

"Flyers/ Panthers Skate to Tie"

South Flordia-------------Coming off their thrilling overtime win against the defending stanley cup champions last night, the Flyers found themselves in overtime again. Unfortunetly, the Flyers were unable to pull it out last night.

The contest between both hockey clubs crew a little heated. Flyers captain Keith Primeau was ejected early in the game after spearing an opponent after scoring his first goal of the season. Primeau wasn't the only player not known for the rough stuff to get involved last night. John Leclair dropped the gloves with Panthers Eric Carins. Carins getting the better of the fight leaving Leclair with a noticable mark on his left cheek.

"He {Leclair} has been trying to help me improve my wrist shot.." Said Todd Fedoruk "Maybe I can teach him a thing or two", he added.

Somik (1) and Johnson added to the Flyers tally, but Panthers struck back in the mid-way through the third period sending the game to OT.

Esche has now let up 8 goals in two games.

"I am not worried" said Esche to the press after the game.

Check out the BOXSCORE!

"Gagne Lifts Flyers in OT"

Tampa Bay------------------The offseason for the Flyers must have seemed like several years, as if there was never going to be another NHL game again. The Flyers who were bounced out by Tampa last spring who went on to win the Stanley Cup were eager to seek revenge. Okay, so they didn't get to skate the cup around last night, but beating the bolts last night was more therpetic than anything else.

THere was no shortage in goals ever and even ended in an OT triller when Gagne flicked the game winning goal deflecting a point shot from Markov. The puck sailed right over the shoulder of a slumping Khabibulin.

Critics lasts season said the Flyers weren't likely to beat Tampa since they don't have enough fire power. However, scoring 5 goals last night proved that despite an age disadvantage they can still hang with the younger players.

"We need we had to keep going and moving the puck all night to beat this club, and we did that." Said Jeremy Roenick after the game.

"It was just great to be in front of the fans again. We would never let them down. I love them all." John Lecair added.

The game was also the first for newcomer Turner Stevenson who was a minus one.

Check out the box score of last nights game for more details!

"NHL 2004-05 Preview"

The NHL is dead, the AHL has ruined the game of hockey and its almost certain at this point that the WHA2 has fallen through before the first season even started. However, there is no reason not to go with ahead it my NHL preview anyway. Here, we go hockey fans!

Flyers: FLY EAGLES ! LETS GO IGGLES BABY! WE GOT .T. O. BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TO!
SUPERBOWL !!!!! (SCREAMING DRUNKENLY)

New Jersey: The Devils wanted a new stadium, no one in North Jersey was really all excited to go out of the way to get them one since no one goes to their games but Flyers fans. Their prayers have been answered there is no longer a reason to get a new stadium, because hockey no longer exists.

NY Rangers: Since MSG the tv station carries the Devils, Islanders and almost all Rangers games there are losing a truck load of loot in TV money over the lock out. One of the few NHL teams that actually makes profit will lose money this year. So, instead of making money and not being in the playoffs they will lose money and still not be in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh:

Super Mario is screwed no matter who wins, not unlike Americans in the pending general election. At least their will slot machines at the Igloo soon.

NY Islanders: Where will the Flyers fan club take bus trips too?

Washington: Capitals fans don’t have to worry their team is basically just a bunch of AHL players! So, they can basically see the entire final roster from last season play for the farm team. Hey if the team is a farm team and there is no team to send your players up to…is it still a farm team?

Tampa Bay: They can burry the cup in the sand in the beaches of Tampa, because the NHL will never return.

Florida: I don’t think the fans even noticed there is a lockout, so I am not to worried about them. Besides most their fans likely got blown away in the winds of one of the seventy hurricanes they had this season. IF they are lucky they were blown to Europe where hockey still is played.

Carolina: I guess both their fans are just going to have to go to more college basketball games.

Atlanta: Well this season is going better than last years…none of the players recklessly drove their fast car killing a team member. Chin up Thrashers fans.

Ottawa: They are going to make up money for the first time in years! Chin up Sens fans!

Buffalo: I would like to take this time to apologize in advance for the Atlanta joke.

Toronto:
I can imagine there are going to be lots of leafs fans jumping off the CN tower. Hey Drew next time we go to Toronto can we PLEASE go in the CN tower?

Montreal: One of the most hallowed sports franchises in the history of sports is dead now. Well at least the people of Montreal have the Expos to cheer for…OH WAIT!

Boston: The home of the Democrat National Convention I would imagine that the Bruins fans would LOVE to go back to the good old days when lockout talks were just a “nuisance” . It is a lot more fun and easier than dealing with reality. The whole “CBA thing” is exaggerated anyway.

Western Teams

ST Louis: They are going to be singing THE BLUES. There is no hockey. Don’t meet me in ST. Louis if you want to be watching hockey.

Detroit: Hockey town without hockey? Now that the NHL is dead and the Red Wings are just a memory the town will nicknamed after the other popular city hobbies. Yes the are now calling it “Smoking Crack, and Murdering People Town.”

Chicago: ESPN or SI or somebody voted this team the worst franchise in the history of sports. Well, since the sport of hockey has left us forever it is highly unlikely they will ever be dethroned.

Nashville
: The lockout was great for this team. Untill the owners met last month no one even knew Nashville had a team. They still made the team owner sit at the kiddie table during the negotiations though.

Columbus: How can you think of hockey without thinking of the city of Columbus? I beg you. Just try it. I can’t imagine what the Blue Jackets fans did when they heard there will be no hockey. Actually I think I can imagine, I am guessing they looked really sad and then the all realized not only there was no hockey but they lived in Columbus and all killed themselves.

Dallas: If Bush loses the election he will go back to his ranch and order up the hockey package. Even if everyone tells him there will not be a season or any games to watch he will insist on spending tons of money on something that isn’t worth it.

Anaheim:

Los Angles: FLY EAGLES ! LETS GO IGGLES BABY! WE GOT . T. O. BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TO!
SUPERBOWL !!!!! (SCREAMING DRUNKENLY)

Phoenix: I bet Wayne is glad he put all the time and money into saving this team from meeting the reaper. All that trouble, and now hockey is dead.

San Jose: Believe it or not the fans here are pretty loyal and love their team. I am sure it bites to be a Sharks fan right now.

Vancouver: The question lots of people keep asking me is will Todd Bertuzzi be back in the NHL?
My answer: NO! And neither will 21 other Canucks. There will be no 2004-05 , 2005-06 season or any other season. The sport is dead. Might as well give him the chair now he is worthless to humanity.

Colorado: Wasn’t that great the way Paul Kariya and Temmu Selanne played for the league minimum for the Avalanche just for a shot to sip from the cup and be the part of something special? The NHLPA didn’t think so, they give both NHL superstars a bunch of crap about it. They would hate to put the love of the game before money for the players and agents.

Minnesota: So the North Stars owner sells to the highest bidder which results in the team dropping the North part of their name and moving to Dallas. Then the team finally comes together and wins a cup. Who do they root for? Well the Minnesota Wild who arrived a few years ago! Now they are starting to become a good team. Somewhere in a bar 20 years from now people will be looking at the really old pictures of Stars and someone will be what the hell is that? I have a faint memory of that…but I really don’t know what sport that is.

Edmonton
: If you needed on less reason to go to one of the coldest damn cities on earth. Now there is no hockey to see there.

Calgary: Did anyone stop to think about the FLAMES GIRLS during this lockout? DID THEY? DID THEY?

"Two in a Week"

I was going to write a little something about the passing of Rodney Dangerfield and maybe just post some of his really funny one line jokes, but sadly now I have to write about two actors I liked. Even though he didn't really like TV and Film nearly as much as standup he left us with three really funny films. Back to School, Caddyshack and I would even include Ladybugs despite the fact that it is clearly inferior to the other two. Has anyone ever seen Easy Money ? I want to know if its worth renting off netflix or not. In the 1990s he mostly did straight to video films like the Godson which was pretty bad so I imgine his others were worse. This came after his last movie in theaters Meet Wally Sparks flopped.

Anyway, I loved his comedy and always made a point to watch him when he showed up on Leno. He was at his best just telling jokes. CHevy Chase said on the Caddyshack DVD, that the first day of shooting Dangerfield was really upset after his first take, because he said he was bombing and wasn't funny at all. He had to be told that no one was laughing at him because they would all ruin the shot! Most the comics who weren't trying to keep from laughing their butts off were taking notes watching the legend spew out soon to be legendary lines.

Obivously, the other passing is Chirstopher Reeve. Now anyone who knows me even a little bit know that I really like the Superman Movies. Mainly, because they bring my back to my youth, but also because I liked Reeves verision of Superman, and them movies helped put me on the road to being the movie buff that I am today.

Reeve was mostly type-casted after making a name for himself in the movie series. However, I am glad he never got all bitter about it and embraced people knowing him as Superman. In order to be taken more seriously he tried to go against type playing a gay priest once. He also showed up in the whacky Nosies Off (I haven't seen it since I was 12, but thought it was funny then), Street Smart opposite a rising Morgan Freeman, and the God awful Village of the Damned.

Anyway, Reeve will always be Superman to me. I even liked the way he played Clarke, and many times it was easy as a viewer to forget that he was the same person as Superman. I recall when I had Liza watch Superman III with me a few months ago, she commented that she liked Lana Lang better (as do I) because she liked Clark for Clark, not like Lois who would blow Clark off for Superman. However, they are the same person! Superman was actually playing someone, but Clark always seemed like a real person who was just friends with Superman.

I know some of my friends thought he was "bland" in those movies. However, I would like to point out a few great scenes to show his rang in the series. The first comes in the first film where he slips from the Clark to SUperman voice then back again when he thinks about telling Lois the truth. The 2nd, the scene in III when SUperman becomes evil and has a battle with himself.

I was thinking of launching a feature call franchises on here and disecting some movie series that I am really familiar with..would anyone be interested in that feature? If there is interest since I know more about the Superman movie series than most people. It likely to be a good read for most people.

Anyway, both actors entertained me as a kid as well as an adult and we will missed. I guess its just as well that Reeves is gone, as upbeat as he was it had to suck. He really did alot for people in this condition and got a lot of attention from both canidates. He did a lot for me to make me develop a love for movies. Of course I looked up to him a lot when I was a little kid, but I imagine I am not alone in that.

Hard to believe that Reeve is gone.

Anyone who wants to go back and read about the Superman films, should go here. This dude from England of all places made this really cool site. He helped get the directors cut of the first film released and is now trying to do the same for Superman II. For awhile he even had a shout out to me. I am that much of a nerd.
Everyone hoped and some even though Chris Reeve would walk again, well I would like to think he is able to walk again now, and he is walking a much better place.

***From Superman: The Movie

warden: This country is safe again, Superman, thanks to you.

Superman : No, sir. Don't thank me, Warden. We're all part of the same team. Good night.

"4 Reasons John Kerry Will Win"

John Kerry is going to win the election in a few years from now. Here are the reasons that I think this way.

1. Most the polls are going to be way off, since they don't include people who registered to vote this year only to oust Bush.

2. Micheal Moore's film was the biggest film of the summer (and perhaps the year) and the young voters just love it. Everyone at work just is constantly quoting the film and use it as a bible for the potlicial views.

3. Most people who are under employed or out of work is going to blame Bush. In his defense Bush did come into the white house as the resecsion was starting. If you recall it was a big concern for him and Gore when they both ran in 2000. Of course 9/11 made things a lot worse. However, most people won't want to hear it they think Bush should have fixed the problem already.

4. The democrats are scaring the crap out of young people and college students going to college campuses and telling them they will all be drafted if they don't vote for John Kerry and fight in war on Iran that will start right after Bush gets elected.

"Fahrenheit 9/11 Questions"

I have two questions about Micheal Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11.

1. The ads now for the DVD make the movie actually look like loans of fun! Rock music plays quick shots of marines running around and stuff. The now famous round the world pointed up shot of the films director make it look like a good popcorn flick. Anyway, my question is what is that song that plays on the ADs? The catch line is "Whos going to save you?!" I can't get the song out of my head, and I know I like the song but don't know who it is or what it is about.

2. The other question is...why is there a soundtrack coming out now? The ad says the music that inspired the film. I still havent seen the film, but what exactly is that about? It has artists like Bob Dlyan (maybe not but people like him) and other famous rock stars. I didn't think Moore was inspired by music to make this, I thought it was 9/11 and the events after. Was he laying on his bed and listening to staring up at the ceiling playing his Pearl Jam CD, when he jumped up and said..hey time to make a movie!

3. Okay, nothing to do with Micheal Moore at all. I was watching Any GIven SUnday last night, and it was the directors cut. NOw this is the first time I saw this verision of the film which included a scene Lima Beanz told me about. Towards the end of the film a football player loses HIS EYE!. A player on the other team LOSES HIS EYE! NOw the entire film is a realistic and dark look at professional football, but this scene is so silly! Why put this scene back in?

Granted I don't know much about the NFL, but has anyone actually lost and eye playing? Lets just say it could happen. I doubt that all the gore and veins would rip that easily that his eye would just land on the ground it would likely dangle from the gore, or get stuck in the cage of the mask. Not to mention there would be 10 times more blood, just look what happened to Bryan Berard his eye was just cut. HE LOST HIS FREAKING EYE!

If I made that scene in the movie I would play it like a Chris Farley Skit.

"MOTHER OF GOD MY EYE! DEAR GOD ! MY DAMN EYE HAS FALLEN OUT!"

::blood pours out all over the hand of the football player as he falls into a table with water bottles all on them.::

"OH MY GOD THE PAIN! MY EYE!"

"Yes, I Want to Help!"

I am usually not a sucker for this e-mails. However, this one moved me to tears.

Now I don't want to be one of those guys who rants on how people should use their money. I do however realize that most of my friends are now making better money then they did a year ago.
So please give of yourself. If it is just a little bit of your next paycheck, there is no way around this it is a noble cause. I am going to put the e-mail on here, if you want to print out the form I suggest you cut and past into word and then print it.

Since September 11, 2001, Americans and Canadians have come together asnever before in our generation. We have banded together to overcometremendous adversity. We have weathered direct attacks on our own soil, wars overseas, corporate/government scandal, layoffs, unemployment, stock price plunges, droughts, fires, mad cow, SARS, high gasolineprices, and a myriad of economic and physical disasters both great andsmall. But now, we must come together once again to overcome our greatestchallenge yet. HUNDREDS of Professional Hockey players in both of ournations are going to be locked out, and FORCED to live at well below theseven-figure salary level. And as if THAT weren't bad enough they couldbe deprived of their life-giving pay for several months, and possiblyeven longer, as a result of the upcoming lockout situation.

But YOU can help! For ONLY $20,835 a month, or $694.50-a-day (so say only $700-a-day ...that's less than the cost of a large screen projection TV) you can helpan NHL player remain economically solvent during his time of need. Thiscontributionby NO MEANS solves the problem as it barely covers the MINIMUM salary, but it's a START, and every LITTLE BIT like this will help!Although $700 may not seem like a lot of money to you, to a hockeyplayer it could mean the difference between spending the lockout golfingin Florida or on a Mediterranean cruise. For you, seven hundred dollarsis nothing more than a month's rent, half a mortgage payment, or a monthof medical insurance, but to a hockey player, $700 will PARTIALLYreplace his daily salary.

Think how hard it must be for these players.Your commitment of less than $700 a day will enable a player to buy thathome entertainment center, trade in the year-old Lexus for a newFerrari, or enjoy a weekend in Rio. And instead of being alone duringthis dangerously vulnerable time, they may even be able to enjoy thecompany of their much-loved supermodel girl friends instead of just"average women". I remind you: think how difficult this must be forthese poor tragic souls. How will YOU know THAT YOU'RE HELPING?Each month, you will receive a complete financial report on the playeryou sponsor. Detailed information about his stocks; bonds; 401(k) orRRSPs; real estate properties; and other investment holdings will bemailed DIRECTLY to YOUR home.

PLUS, by just signing up for thisprogram, you will receive an UNsigned photo of the player lounging duringthelockout on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean (for a signed photo, please include an additional $150). You can put the photo on yourrefrigerator to remind you of other peoples' suffering. How will HE know YOU'RE HELPING?Your NHL player will be told that he has a SPECIAL FRIEND who just wantsto help in a time of need. Although the player won't know YOUR name, hewill be able to make collect calls to your home via a special operatorin case additional funds are needed for his unforeseen expenses. It'seasy to help. Just complete the self-explanatory information below, andthe rest will be taken care of for you.
